Ford/NH 4630 Fuel System - Injectors?

Not knowing a heck of a lot about these in particular, seems I've got an an injector problem. Sounds just like a skip, smokes excessively when this happens, and seems to be hard starting in 30 Deg F weather, whereas it would fire on all 3 cylinders a little colder than that. This is the later model Ford/New Holland 4630 with the 192 & turbo. I'm wondering what the fix is and if its best left to the service tech from the local NH dealer. Though I'd certainly like to avoid the associated fees, it's either them or the diesel shop across the road, if they are still open, (building is for sale now). I am not so sure I am knowledgeable enough about this work with injectors, certainly not the injector pump. Fuel filter is likely due as well I'm not sure how long it was in service before I got this tractor in '15, but its run fine all this time. It does not seem to be starving for fuel and throttles up fine when firing on all 3 cylinders. The fuel filter change I could do I am sure, as I have changed them on other diesel tractors and I think its described in the owners manual for this tractor as well. Hopefully a typical fuel system related issue, but I do hear a valve tick as well at a cold start at an idle.
