Having trouble with 1975 Ford 4000 Three cylinder diesel. Tractor went through fire last summer. Everything back together bled injector pump tractor started and ran for a couple minutes then quit. Had been hard to start before fire so decided to replace injector pump. Same thing started right up after bleeding system then quit. Now very little fuel at injectors when cracked open. Bad Pump? Will not start. Fuel is being pumped back into tank from return lines.

I had a 4000 that I replaced the engine in.
It would bleed, start and run good then starve out and die.
There are 2 fuel lines that go from the pump to the fuel filter. Both were steel lines with a short piece of rubber hose to connect them. I had replaced the short rubber hoses on both lines and used those little pinch on hose clamps to replace the ugly hose clamps that were there.
They must have been leaking as I added a second set of pinch on clamps and the tractor ran fine after that.

Thats what has me scratching my head. Tractor started first time after bleeding system now it won't even start. I don't know what else to do I think it has to be a bad pump.
