Changed filter in power steering
found some issues ( I think). The
hook was broke off spring, tried
bending new hook,broke again. Made
new hook out of some wire. Now where
does it hook??!! Also how much fluid
goes in there? I filled it to 1 inch
from top and it wouldn't steer. In
fact it turned itself all the way
right. Sucked 90 % of fluid out and
steers fine. What is going on with
that? Thanks for any help.

When they go all the way right it is because the piston in the control valve is stuck. The control valve is the big part on the front end of the cylinder. This is often caused by putting a full sized grease fitting on it. The grease fitting is in the back. It needs to be kind of a stubby, otherwise it will thread in too far and catch the piston. Good Luck!
