Got the genny problem fixed, now onto a major oil leak from this pump. quite a steady dribble of oil leaking from the lower left side of it when running. I'm thinking it just needs a new gasket but not sure. What is this pump actually used for?... Following the two lines off of it it goes from left side of rear of engine across behing steering unit and then down under right floorboard and then into the head of the rearend.

(quoted from post at 20:36:41 11/24/16) Leaking around idler shaft. common place to leak as they get older. Oring on shaft have to remove pump to replace

It looks like its leaking from the gasket

(quoted from post at 20:41:26 11/24/16) That's the hydraulic pump for the
tractor, 3pt, remotes etc

Thank you...I thought so but wasn't sure cuz yesterday i removed the front grill and found the hyd pump for the FEL.
I might pull the pump and relace the gasket and see if that fixes it.

Got the pump off now and making a new gasket for it. Old gasket was wasted and somebody has tried to seal it by means of blue and red silicone sealer.

Well got that oil leak fixed. I just hammered me out a new gasket for the pump and used some permatex and both sides of the gasket. Worked good and no leakage.

Now onto the next problem...the three point lift doesn't work at all. Fixing to pull off the top plate to see what's going on in there. Anything i should look for inside?

The top plate off ..eveything looks old but ok. It needs a good cleaning in the sump area so poured about a gallon or so of diesel in there to soak. Piston looks good and bore is smooth. Pretty sure the problem is that the three point liftarms are just stuck and rusted into place.
We'll see after i get them freed up

.Those lift arms are really stuck...been heating up...3lb sledging and squirting my 50/50 mix of Acetone and ATF. They move but only by prybar or sledge
