Never saw Ford fenders like this?

I noticed the picture on the front of my
Ford manual has a Ford 800 on it but has
fenders simular to an naa or older, you
can make out 800 on the emblem and it's
not an naa because it has the hundred
series grill with the oval crank hole
too. Were these an option or some
special purpose, they almost look like
they cover the tire even further than
naa type.

Hmm maybe none of my hundred series have the right fenders then lol! I have a 661, 671, and an 850 all of which had the more flat fenders like the later three cylinder ones had, just thought that's what all hundred series had but I guess mine may have been swapped out, just seems unlikely on 3 different tractors from different places!

Your 661 and 671 [b:18f1bfe74c]are not [/b:18f1bfe74c]hundred series tractors. They are 02 series tractors and have the proper fenders if I understand you correctly. Your 850 fenders have apparently been changed. The fenders pictured and described in your original post are hundred series fenders.

Can't edit :x should have said your 661 and 671 are '01 series tractors.

Your 661 and your 871 probably are correct. The " elephant ear " style fenders on the '55-57s have a tendency to get damaged and are replaced often With the later style "clam shell" fenders

(quoted from post at 23:24:40 11/23/16) I wouldn't put to much stock in the picture, ir appears to be a drawing or painting

I would! That picture is correct for hundred series tractors,

On the right is the correct fender for the hundred series (1955/1957) On the left is the late 8n/NAA fender. You already know what the X01 (1958/1962) fenders look like.
BTW the hundred series fender were also used on the 6000 series.

Dad had a 56 850 that had those fenders, they where a lot more comfortable to set on than the -01 series clam shell's where, they where also better at keeping mud and cow poo off the operator.
Didn't know they where the same fenders used on a 6000 or are they just the same style.

Yeah, what Wayne said...it isn't a photo, it is a graphics department artists sketch. They were known to draw things as they saw them. Look at the 8N MPC's and notice the Lighting drawings -they're backwards...
