Power Steering line leak

Does anyone have a brief explanation on how to fix a leak in the power steering line (from pump to valve/steering column) on a Ford 3000? I have a pin hole leak at the elbow where the line turns down toward the pump.

It appears to have been soldered at some point and that's now failing. I was thinking maybe cut the elbow out and replace with some kind of 45 degree fitting....have to use/rent a flare tool (which I have not experience with).

Any help is appreciated.

Had a fitting leaking on my 3000. Removed the line and took it to a local shop that made me a new line complete with the proper bends. A local hydraulic hose shop may be able to help or point you to someplace that will.

I called a local guy who said he could fix it - "no problem". I'll take it over early next week to see what he can do. Thanks for the suggestion!

You have to braze steel lines to repair. Solder will not stay.
If the hole is at the 90* bend, you may be able to cut it out and replace the bend with a 90* brass compression fitting.
