ford 9700 simms pump cold weather assist

have ford 9700 with simms pump. when i depress cold weather assist button it does not stay in. how do i fix ? got a parts diagram. thank you

throttle must be set above half throttle, or button will NOT stay in...

Sotxbill is right, throttle must be off idle for the excess fuel linkage to work because of the balking spring on the rack. Button should pop back out after the engine starts.

moved hand throttle to half open position & worked aok. thanks for help. i asked an injection pump if it was spring and he said other stuff and bring it in. that answer saved me $ 4 - 600
