over size tires for 3400

I have an 74 3400 Ford tractor. It has 6:50 x 16 6 ply tires on front. I can't go any larger as sidewalls are now only about 3/4" from front axle. Is there a larger wheel that will fit with larger tires. If I load the bucket pretty full the tires seem to flatten out ever with 50 pounds pressure. thanks

You should be able to get get wheels with a wider offset . I remember our 4500's had 7.50 X 16 on them , they were 6 hole wheels....

4000-4500's use a wider wheel for the 7.50x16 that is offset more to the outside for spindle clearance, if you don't want the added height of the 7.50x16 you could go to a set of 7.5Lx15's like the ones used on a 4000SU, they're about the same height as 6.50x16's but are wider

I think mine had 9.50's

Flip the rims around to the outside, so they are set out... then put USED 16 inch truck tires on them. rated for high loads, high air pressure, and very wide and very cheap...Great for loader tractors.

You can also go to a boneyard and buy a set of rims from like a 7000. I had a set that were on a 4000 I bought that were like 8X16. I sold them. Then run 3/4 ton pickup tires. They had the same 8 on 6" bolt pattern as your 3400.
