Ford 134cu inch engine 2 inch exhaust elbow

Iam swapping out the smaller exhaust elbow with a 2 inch exhaust elbow the bolt holes lineup but the matting surface to manifold the lip on elbow will not fit inside manifold.3/16 to big.every thing i read said it should fit.
 

It is very likely that your manifold has been replaced. They rust out and they crack. If it has been replaced most likely it is Chinese and then very possible that it differs here and there in construction and size from OEM.
 
I think your right about here and there. i ground the lip of and then it fit .noticed the bolt holes were not
centered on flang the 90 degree was not straight with motor it pointed to the left.

It is supposed to point to the left a little in order for the pipe that goes onto the muffler to come out of the hood.
 
Thanks for that information makes sense i wont complain to the vendor for that.maybe the hole being drilled of
center was so it would clock to the left. Do you think the lip being grind of will be a problem.

No, I don't I have never come across anything but flat to flat.
