Ford tractors

63-64 5000 was a repainted Fordson Major
65-76 5000 built by Ford
75-81 5600 replaced the 5000
81-93 5610 replaced the 5600
93-97 5630 replaced the 5610
New Holland had a 5610S model that was produced from 94-2003

That's kind of the coles notes version of it...

The 5000 replaced the Major at 56 hp. In '68 the power was bumped to 68 on the 5000 through a displacement increase to 256 cid... The 5600
was technically a new model in the line and the 6600 was the direct replacement for the 5000... although they are essentially the same
tractor save the 5600 went back to the 233 engine found in the early 5000 while the 6600 retained the 256 engine. Then the 5610 continued as
the 5600 replacement... followed by the 5640 in 1992 when the Powerstar line was introduced. I've never seen a 5630 although I understand
they did exist for developing markets. That, I suspect was derived from what was the 4830/5030 which was a result of installing the 5610's
256 engine in the 3 cylinder 4610/30 chassis.

Rod

There was a 5900 thrown in the mix in late 80s. Newer version of 5000 with no remotes. Dealer I worked at sold bunch to hiway contract mowers.

5900 was the first (I believe) Mexican built Ford imported into the US. They could be had with remotes but were certainly less than full-featured.
