860 and power steering

Does anyone know if PS was an available option on an 860? Looking at a local tractor for sale that has an 861 grill and PS but the owner says it's an 860. Don't recall ever seeing an 860 with PS. Might just have different tin on the front end too.

IIRC, Ford released PS on the utility models late in 1957.

I believe that a few 1957 utility models were sold with PS.

Dean is correct the late 1957 model could be bought with PS. Also
late '57 the 801 might have the spinning gear power master decal.
I have a 1957 640 with power steering.

Yes, in 1957 Ford came out with a power steering option for tractors. Here is a pic of my 1957 850 with the original power steering.

I have a 1957 850 with power steering but the pump doesn't look like the one in the picture. I think mine is like ones in a car or pickup.I must remove the cover to add or check the fluid. It works good but lacks power at idle.

you can put power steering on 53+ models.

Remember.. the same parts that a dealer would have put on new on an 861 for power steering can be put on a 860 All the
parts/bolts line up.. etc..

I have an 850 with PS.
