I am looking to buy a Ford 5000 tractor it has what I belive to be factory LP. It is a standard tractor, no 3 pth.
Just wondering if anyone would know if they made these with factory propane and if so was there many of them made.
Thanks

That is a 6000. They were avaible in LP. But I would RUN I MEAN RUN, Parts for tranny are non existant let alone most of other parts.

Agree.
That is not a 5000. It is a 6000.
Also agree not to buy one.
They are Ford's red headed step child.
If you Really know those tractors and are well versed in SOS transmissions maybe. If not, don't walk away. Run!

haha Thanks for the advice. Back on the farm years ago we did have a 5000 diesel with the same trans. a little jumpy for a young kid.
a friend of mine bought it for the loader and the local tractor wrecker offered 750.00. since I never saw one myself before and the fact he called it a 5000....
Well thanks again I off running
