Sector shaft seals

So replaced my shaft seals on my steering box last night. Nice stream of fluid down one side today.

Guessing I rip one of the new seals putting them in

Question- since the new seals are much thinner than old, there would be be any reason I could put two I one side is there?

I always install two per side, the inner to keep the oil in, and the outer to keep the dirt from the inner seal.

That said, it is likely that oil will leak regardless unless your sector shaft bushings are nearly unworn.

Fill the gearbox with CNH pourable High EP oil.
