Tilting Woods rear mower

I've just replaced the left leveling rod on my NAA as the old one became "curved". It's an OEM type replacement that's non-adjustable. It seems to have the effect of tilting the mower to the left side and no amount of extending the adjustable right rod will level it. The effect is to have the left side scrape on the ground while the right side is at normal working height. The hydraulics a re tired but I can pick it up enough to clear the left side slightly slackening the chains. What might be causing this? Should I buy the adjustable left rod available here at Yesterday's Tractors?

Is the new arm longer than he old arm?

Why not just straighten the old, bent arm?

Hmm, did you end up with the rod for a hundred series? They are longer than the naa/n series ones

Yes it certainly is as I just measured them both. The new one is 21 1/2" and the old bent one is only 20". I'd assumed that an OEM type non-adjustable would make everything right. I'm now considering ordering an adjustable left rod to correct things. Currently, the adjustable right hand rod is extended about 1 1/2" beyond the "level" mark. The old rod is a 3/4" solid iron member and straightening it might get me to where I already am with the new one.

I am with Dean on this one,
I would have at least tried to straighten the old one first, just me!

another thing to consider as the arm is longer, you will not be able to pick up implements as high as before, that extra 1 1/2" may make a big difference in lower arm height,

worth checking out before you order another adjustable arm.

This is what I bought and though it was through Amazon it seemed to involve Tisco and nnalert. Shouldn't have been for the 100's series from the description. I guess I could ry to bend the old one and return the new one to Amazon - bought it about a month ago.

I can't say for sure what happened to your original but it wouldn't
be the first time I've seen rods bent to "adjust" the length.
Many governor to carb linkages are bent for that reason.

It would help me in sorting this out to know the pin center to pin center length of the OEM non-adjustable left leveling rod. Could anyone share this dimension with me? I've seen them from 19 13/16 (TISCO) to 20 3/8 (Just 8ns/Amazon).

I had a couple in the shop.
The one on the bottom, without the swivel, measures 19 3/4
hole to hole. The top one that is slightly bent measures 20 1/2
from fork hole to the top swivel hole. Maybe that explains the
differences in measurements you were seeing online??

Where are you located? The bottom one in this picture I think
is an original. If you're interested in a used one email me.

Good cause I admit I got distracted and forgot after cutting open an oil tank to make panels for my tractor cab mounting which resulted in the demo saw catching my coveralls on fire and then me doing that funny dance you do when your pants are on fire. Then spilled a nice bunch of oil sludge and shoveled up a good bit of gravel to toss in the trash in an attempt to prevent my yard looking like the Exxon Valdez made an unexpected stop here. But luckily it looks like Royse had the pieces on hand and a less eventful evening and got the dimensions you needed already!

Thanks once again for all the helpful advice and measurements but I've decided to go with an adjustable left rod from Yesterday's Tractors and return the Tisco/nnalert rod I bought through Amazon.
