2000 exhaust

so I would have to remove the old pipe without damaging the muffler. did I mention I hate exhaust/muffler work.

No. The muffler shop will cut it where it rolls out to the left side to clear the chassis before it turns down. He will attach an L/J whichever, shaped pipe to that stub. That's how mine was done.

here are some up exhausts. I agree that the muffler shop is about the best and cheapest way to go. I have one on a tractor and will post more photos in another post since I don't do multi photos. You might be able to loosen the clamp and tap the pipe out. These clamps are not like standard muffler clamps that did ridges into the pipe underneath. You should also be able to use the same clamp for the system on the gas tank riser. When you figure out the bend length make sure you allow enough room for the light if you have one.

Another option from the auto dept at walmart or auto parts store, although not the nicest.

The offset tractors came from the factory with a vertical exhaust, but sized for the 172 engine after 1958, Which is bigger than the 134 engine. Measure sizes so you get it right the first time. HTH
