Hi, I'm new here and to the great world of tractors! I recently bought a 1970 3400 off of my neighbor. It's in pretty good shape but has 2 issues, this leak and charging system.
1. Power Steering id - I've looked up the schematics for the 3400 on the NH site and it does not match what my tractor has. Any idea what model this power steering column is off of? The power steering works
fine.
2. In the pictures - It is leaking fluid from in between the hydraulic valve assembly and the large housing below it. More specifically below the piece where the hydraulic lines attach(and has that metal tag),
and the top of the piece that is mostly red in the pic and has the id#AEGG50 on it. I'm guessing I lose a shot glass worth of fluid an hour and this pic was taken after an hour of brush hoggin. How dire is
this issue? Fix immediately? Previous owner used it for 4 years like this but that doesn't make it right!
