Well I had time and thought I would take my gen off the Jube. I cleaned it up and painted , replaced one bearing . I also cleaned the arm and
the brushes had no wear at all. As I wrote earlier my digital volt meter was jumping all over the place ,so I polizaried the gen again , still volt
meter jumping all over the place. I took you guys advice and got my old analog meter and it showed 6.8 or so. The problem now is that when I
connect the battery I show about a 10-15 discharge (key on or off) and when I start the tractor it shows a normal charge. When I pull the battery
cable off the amp meter goes back to zero. I also checked the wiring and it's right. It worked perfect for 16 years and I never had a problem.
What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks ,
