7700 hydraulic problems

Got a 80 model 7700. I whent on vacation and my guys ran the hydralic fluid low while baling hay (One set of remote plugins some times does not work correctly and the lines pop off causing lots of fluid to shoot out) fluid was topped off with the cheap Wal-Mart tractor hydraulic fluid. Ever since then the hydralics on three point and on the loader ( the loader runs to the back and plugs into the remote not power beyond). Hydraulics only get slugish after warming up when the tractor is first started all seems to work fine. Dual power seems to work fine all the time. When our kuhn 700g11 is hooked up to the three point after hours of cutting to bring the three point up the rpms most be reved way up and also to folde it up the bailer door is slow to replaced the filter. Pump bad? Pick up screen? Wrong hydralic fluid?

If it works fine cold but not hot, that's a bad sign. Dumping out the cheap oil and replacing it with good oil is not likely to help much either - the damage is already likely done. I'm guessing a worn pump, and I speak from experience here.

It could be a blown o-ring(s) on the pressure tube from the rear axle housing to the top cover - I've seen this more than once - this will give similar symptoms as a worn pump. If that's it, this would make the timing of the events you described a pure coincidence.

On a a tractor that old... probably a worn pump. If run dry, its definitely a worn pump. Not too bad to replace.
