I currently have my tractor (1956 Ford 860 with double clutch) split to replace a bad clutch. I also discovered that my throw out bearing carrier is broken so I ordered a
replacement which arrived yesterday. It does not fit. The tabs on the sides where the clutch fork is supposed to attach are about 1/8" too small. See the attached photo
comparing old and new. I've double checked that I ordered the correct part (at least according to the catalog and several websites).
Has anyone else had to replace their carrier and run into this problem? Can anyone tell me where I can find a carrier with the proper gap size? I've checked many online
sites but they all seem to have the same part with the small gaps. Thanks.
Part #311260 ordered from link_disallowed Parts. (http://www.external_link/catalogsearch/result/?q=311260)
