Brass oil pressure fitting for Ford 801 diesel

Finishing a Ford 801 diesel engine job that was started by another guy. While tightening the two loose hydraulic pump bolts in order to fix a leak at the gear end, I managed to crack the brass oil pressure fitting that sits behind the pump. On startup, oil spewed.

I popped in a 1/8npt zerk fitting as the only plug available, which worked.

Where do I find such a fitting? It's 1/8npt male 90 elbow, with a small female thread that accepts the oil line to the fitting. And, why did it not fit
in the space so that it bent and cracked? Maybe not the right part? Special alignment?

Weatherhead has a similar fitting #402x2, but this one has a small boss inside that suggests it's a flare fitting.

Would like to have a working oil pressure gauge.

That is a common type of fitting and most any auto parts store should have them as well a s a hardware store

Nope very common fitting. I have run into some very hard to find fittings over the years and had 2 this year that took a bit to work out but those where hyd fitting. One was on a bale wagon and the other on a Case VAI I have. One of the guys from this site sent me a manual one pipe fitting which will come in handy I am sure
