Looking at an ad in local "traders
helper". Guy has a "steel wheel
McCormick " asking $1250. He doesn't
text or email so no pictures. He
doesn't know year or model. Got it
in a lot at auction. Ain't locked
up. But doesn't run. Thoughts on
price? Also where do I look on it
for numbers? Going to look this
evening. Thanks.

If it's a McCormick, then it's a plow tractor, not a row-crop Farmall. Could be as late as a
WWII tractor when rubber tires were rationed. This will save you a big expense. The price will
depend on model and condition and how far you have to haul it. That price is probably the price
of admission to the hobby. Can't go much lower without parting it out and/or scrapping. Big W30 or W40, or especially the diesel versions, are most collectable. You can read the data on the
serial number plate. If it's not there, you won't have a collectable.

Thanks for info will be going to check it out in a couple of hours. Only 30 miles from our place. Will get some pictures and post em to get help identifying it. got 2 ford tractors now. Wife wants something different to work on! Lol.

So..... McCormick is not an option. Too big. Needs too much work. But... guy has a case DI that he drove into shed 5 years ago when he bought a new kubota. Hasn't touched it since. Wants 700 bucks. Thinking this maybe a good deal. Any thoughts?

Case looks like a low risk deal. Did they have fenders?
Did you look at the ID for the McC-Deering? It appears to
me to be a W30. Would make a nice project for someone.
