I had a few minutes today to start on removing my water pump, I got the fan off OK but other projects distracted me' On this tractor besides the loader I have the power steering pump to contend with plus I have no idea ho you are supposed reach and turn the radiator drain cock. I'll just pull the hose. My question is can I buy a rebult pump or repair kit or must I bite the bullet and go to CNH?
I'm grateful for the good advice I always get from this site!

You've got a lot of sources for these, but you can order one right from this site, see the below link.

Mine has power steering but the pump has been off it for years, that does make it harder to reach in there.

Any company that sells aftermarket parts will have a new water pump for an 850. If you buy a kit. I would disassemble the old pump before ordering the kit. Old pumps can be difficult to tear down. Sometimes housings crack or are rusted out inside.

To drain the radiator. I made a wrench from a short piece of pipe. One end has a handle and the other end has a notch cut out to fit the drain clock.

With a loader on it it is many time easier to use the block drain no drain the system. I like to install a radiator type drain set up in the block drain so it is easier to work on in the future

Tractorguy2 had good advice, if your housing internal pump area is good, a kit is the way to go. Otherwise replace the whole pump. To decide that your old pump needs to be disassembled. That's a "pita" with the loader or rad. On.

Thanks for the comments. I got the pump off today. wasn't really that difficult.
Just lost a little skin off my arm from rubbing on the fan shroud'
