I have replaced the solenoid on my Ford 4100, when I turn the ignition on, still not starting, can someone that has as 4100 take a picture of your solenoid connections so I can compare to see if mine look correct. Thank you for any help!!!

This is probably a diesel, right?
I don't have a photo.
It would be difficult to get in there and
get one with the fuel filter, etc in the
way.
But there are only 3 wires going to the
solenoid. The big heavy main battery
cable, about a 10 ga wire that hooks to
the same bolt as the battery cable and a
small 14? ga wire that actuates the
solenoid. The last one hooks on with a
spade clip.
Do the oil and amp lights light up when
you turn on the key?
If so then use a multimeter or test light
on the small wire to see of you get power
there when you turn the key to start
position. If no power then check the
connection at the key switch and/or the
switch itself.
Remember, most of those key switches have
4 positions. Off, on, thermostart, and
start. You have to turn the key to almost
3 Oclock position before it will engage
the starter.
