ford 5000 hydraulic problem

hi, I'm stumped, my 3pt and external hydraulics are not working, my pump is working, I have pressure on the side (allen screw) on the side of my single remote but nothing to at the connection point, my 3pt doesn't work either, when raising the quadrant you can see the arms try to lift but its like its stuck or something, ive had the top cover off several times, everything seems to be working correctly, the piston seems to be sticky but frees up easily,
a little history, my tractor was burned in a grass/barn fire, the hydraulic hoses were burnt as well as all the wiring, the tractor did get rained on while I waited for insurance company release the tractor for me to bring home, 2 tires and all paint, I have rebuilt this tractor back up and everything works except the hydraulics, (new fluid and filters)
any ideas?? is there something I should be looking for or doing? it sure seems like something is stuck somewhere, btw, it was never ran with the old fluids, I didn't mess with any adjustments or mess with anything, just cleaned everything in there up

Remove the round cover on the left side of the rear housing where the dipstick is. You will be able to look inside and with it running perhaps spot a leak.

ou say that you have pressure, but how much pressure? With arms tied down & attempt to lift, it should produce about 2000-3000 PSI, not just 40. Somewhere around 40 is unloading backpressure & if that is all you ever get, then unloader valve is likely stuck.

I don't know how much psi pressure I have,
I just know that before the fire happened
everything worked just fine and strong, you
can see the lift move about 1/8th inch when
raising the quadrant, and my single remote
valve isn't working either, I do have
pressure at my loader plate but the loader
is off at this time, the hydraulic pump
gets hot and makes noise if I leave it
running very long

Are you talking about the filler cap? Mine
doesn't have a dipstick

He's talking about the round plate on the left side of the rear axle center housing, where the PTO handle is located. Some 5000's also had a dipstick for the rear end/hydraulic sump on that plate as well, but I'm not sure whether all 5000's did.

No, it's an 8speed, I took yesterday off
away from it and been working on it all day
today and just tested it, no luck! I had
the pump out, and the control valve out,
all valves are free as best as I could tell,
the unloader valve is fine and the valve
above it is fine, the piston is free and
clean, all moving linkage in top cover is
fine, I did take the plug out of the pump
cover just above the relief valve that is
horizontal, I started the tractor and let
it build pressure till it was squinting a
steady stream of oil, I wasn't to impressed
with the pressure of the flow, I won't be
able to put a Guage on the pump till
tomorrow afternoon at best, I'm kinda
wondering if the pump went out, even tho it
was working fine before the fire

It's an 8 speed tyranny, I just got done
working on it, I took the control valve out
and checked the unloader valve and the valve
above it, both were clean and free, the
piston is free and clean as well, I took
the pump out and cleaned the screen filter,
and opened the relief valve, it's fine, I
put it all back together added the oil,
fired it up and nothing, I took the plug
out where you put a Guage on it and started
it again, it dribbled for a few seconds
then got a steady stream but not enough to
hit the tire, I'm not to impressed with the
flow pressure and will get a Guage on it
tomorrow afternoon I hope, but I'm running
out of things to look at, oh! Also, my
remote isn't working either,

Jmor, thanks! I just found the back
pressure problem, I blocked the darn loader
plugs and it couldn't make a full circular
motion, I knew that there was an easy
explanation for the issue! Thanks for the
reply,
