Industrial Ford 6 cyl engine

I need some info on a Ford 6 cylinder engine. Broke # 6 piston, original bore was 3 5/8
Has been bored .060

Plate on side of block..# 57842
casting code # EBP-6015-G

thanks for any info

Could it be a 223 cu in engine from '54 to '64 see block numbers for parts....

You could be right. I think that's the only one with that bore.
Ford usually modified truck engines for industrial use. But they
also did the smaller sixes used in Mavericks, etc. Many for
swathers.
 
You are right, it's a 223 cid from '54-'64. Good old motors for their time. That same engine was used in the 6000 Ford tractor
for the gas model and 'beefed-up' version with 242 cid was their diesel version.
this engine is very closely related to the 134 cid Red Tiger engine used in the Jubilee and 600 tractor.

Thanks for all the good info. I do have a manual that will cover the 223 CI Ford engine. Now I have to see If I can find 0.060 over size piston for a 223 motor. There is one listed on Ebay 57-59 with the same casting #'s

NAPA, found the 0.060 piston and rings for me today. Should have them in a couple of days.
