1920 ford differinal

to check fluid level is it the 2 plugs on the left side of trans, upper one I would use a 11/16 wrench and lower one about a 7/8, and if so why 2 different sizes. thanks bob

The rear differential oil level is checked with the dipstick for the transmission as it is a common sump and the front differential is checked with a dipstick on the left front axle housing.

thanks, I have a manual ordered, but until I get, if there is a dipstick is it under the hood or on side of trans, I have looked but not finding it. thanks bob

It's in the right front corner of the transmission cover.

On my 1720 it is the plastic/rubber plug right next to the brake lock lever on the bump,of the transmission under your feet. pull it out by hand, it's a dipstick.

I'd think from the diagram above its the same on a 1920?

that was it MHB, the top part of the dipstick is gone just enough to seal and a little bit of the dipstick end sticking up. thanks again bob
