clutch was working normal pedal still feels normal but when pedal is released it won't even spin gears looking inside top cover of tranny . Not sure what model but has 2 forward two reverse with hi- lo shifter any ideas

Most likely broke the center out of the clutch disc.
Look on the flat pad behind the starter for numbers, there should be three sets of them, one set for model, one set for built date and one set for serial number

Hey Destroked 450 thanks for your reply . The only thing I can possibly think of that might of sheared clutch disk is I stayed on
brakes to long without releasing clutch and bogged down engine rpm is that something that has sheared clutches before ?

Transmission sounds like a 4x4 manual reverser, which was only used on early 3400, 3500, 4400 and 4500 models. After 4/1/68 the manual reverser was upgraded to 6x4 (3 forward and 2 reverse speeds on the main shifter plus the hi/low shifter).

Find the numbers stamped into the flat spot just to the rear and above the starter and post them here and we can help you figure out exactly what model it is.

Lugging it down could have but normally just chokes the engine, TLB's see a lot of clutch use and most likely the rivets got loose and over time they finally let go.

Did you find the numbers on the flat pad behind the starter, if so post them and someone will be able to tell you what model your tractor is.
