ford 600 axle

Still need advice on what to do to fix the rear axle on my 600 the axle on the right side moves in and out about an inch or so when you pull on it with the wheel off. I would like to find out how to fix it before I start tearing into it. Any ideas?

Well sounds like you lost a wheel bearing, can't keep running it that way so might as well open it up and find I t what else got damaged. I love the help these forums provide bit I'm pretty sure there is no "easy fix" to be found, put down the mouse and pick up a wrench my friend

The bearing retainer has come loose on the axle, not sure how yours is held on but you'll have to pull the axle and bearing housing off to see what the problem is.

You need a I-T repair manual or Ford shop manual.
