Need torque specs on 1973 Ford 2000 gas engine thermostat housing and fuel pump. The IT manual list the ones for water pump but not the thermostat or fuel pump
Also ok to use Permatex h-tack on fuel pump gasket?

Thanks

Those torque specs would be what ever they are for the given bolt size. Under research and info is a torque specs area that you can look at for those torque specs on the left of this page

My method for the last 50 years (after breaking off numerous bolts the first 12 years of mechanin), is good and snug considering the size. If it leaks, a little more snug till it stops leaking. My opinion of posted torque specs, especially dry on older equipment all corroded up with no thread chaser, is that the number posted is how far you can go before the bolt pops.......heads and engine bearings excepted.

Buying new equipment really tells you how tight those specs make hardware and I know that it works just fine at a lot less. Case in point, after about 50 hours of operation my home generator oil filter sprung a leak and I tried 3 types of oil filter wrenches trying to get it loose to swap. Same thing on OEM tractor engine oil and hydraulic filters. No need for that especially when the filter says right on the side, ? turn after seating.
