Folks got a question about the instrument panel light for 64 Ford 2000 gas tractor that has been converted to 12 volt system w/alternator. Had to replace the wiring harness and got stumped on what to do with the T1 wire from the alternator. A number of folks recommended hooking it up to the dash light and dash light to key switch. I didn't think the light was still there until I found it behind panel and after putting new bulb in it worked.
My question is from what I've read bulb needs to be a 12 volt 5 watt bulb? Problem is have not been able to find a 12 volt/5 watt bulb to fit it? Most mini-bulbs Ive found are 14 volt and less than 5 watts? will these work or do I need a specific 12 volt bulb?
