missing some rear lug studs on my 960

i have the wheel off, do i need to remove the two flat head regular screws and hub should pop off with maybe some persuasion? i
have done the 8n brakes but now working on 960 brakes and need put new lug studs because it was missing a couple, any tricks i
should know about before traveling 5 hours to work on my 960?

Removing the counter sink bored screws will allow you to remove the brake drum but not the axle flange.

Wheel studs can be replaced on the utility models without removing the axle by drilling a hold in the backing plate. Though I've never done this on a row crop model, I expect that a similar procedure will work.

I just replaced some studs on my 961. 1st time for me too. after removing the brake drum I had to remove the cast cover on the inside of the drop axle, the cotter key in the nut/axle shaft, then remove the nut and slide the axle out just enough to slip the stud in from the backside. A little more involved then on the utility models, but doable.
