What is the correct high idle RPM? I&T FO-31 manual says 2200-2300, Ford OP manual, 2065-2165. I'm trying to get my governor dialed in.

I don't think it matters all that much but on a 2000 I would say the lower setting.
The 2000 and 3000 gassers both used the exact same 158 ci engine. To get the extra 3 or 4 hp out of the 3000 they goverened them a couple hundred rpms higher and likely used different jetting in the carb.

Thanks, Udog. I keep trying to get the governor set to the book step by step. Seems OK at first but after I work it some it changes. Idles fast or seems weak at PTO speed pulling a JD 1207 on hills. I'll play with it more and see.
