Ford Ignition Coil Ohms 12volts

I was wondering if anyone knows what the ohms or resistance value should be for a ingniton coil 12volt. This is a 1954 NAA if that helps I can remember when parts stores could check the to see if one was still good or not well not anymore.

Thankyou;
Travis

Coils made to operate on 12volts are typically about 3 Ohms primary resistance. 6v are about half that.

Thanks for getting back with me so on 12 volt coils it's 3 ohms now you check it at the distributor port and the wire from the ignition switch to coil vice versa distributor ignition wire and coil wire to distributor. If it's higher than 3 ohms does that mean the coil is higher or it the opposite. Hope I'm making sense in my questions.
