1954 NAA Will Not Start

I needing some input on getting my 1954 NAA Ford running I haven't started it in a year due to weather related and bad health so I have had it parked and covered. Today put gas in it checked fluid levels reconnected the battery but no go. Did noticed fuel leaking out the small packing screw next to the fuel bowel drain. Now did notice like a stoop left the pet cock put in place of the fuel bowl drain plug left cracked. Fuel does seem to be reaching carburetor I thought I'd better ask before going to deep and time.

You need to do some simple trouble shooting.
#1 Check that you have a good blue/white spark from the center wire on the distributor cap. That spark needs to jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. If no spark good chance the points need to be cleaned or replaced. Common for the points to corrode just form sitting.

#2 if you have good spark at the center wire make sure you have that same type of spark at the plug wires all 4 of them. If you have that

#3 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas form the carb drain that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes.

Well, checked the spark coming from the coil and there was no spark. Could the points have some corrosion on them and if so what is the procedure of cleaning and then readjusting the gap.
Appreciate the input and help this is a 1954 Ford NAA.

No, the tractor doesn't have spark completely dead. This is my first tractor and would appreciate any help and advice working on the points and steps cleaning and gaping. Also some advice on what to look for in tools gauge and file to get since as of yet don't have. Appreciate any help and recommendation.

(quoted from post at 14:57:08 08/31/16) Does it have spark? After sitting that long, the points
could easily have corroded.
No the tractor doesn't have spark need to check the points next. I have no experience with points and condensor can I get some advice in the steps cleaning and resetting the gap? Appreciate your help.

What did you have covering it? A friend had a decent tractor covered with clear plastic for a few months. It turned it into scrap. Check for voltage at plus side of coil. take a business card, fold it double, and work it back and forth between the points a few times.

I used a tarp tied down to the tractor since I didn't have a cover yet to park it under. I will try you suggestion the wire coming off the ignition switch had splice in it with a butt connection which I'm not fond of going to replace with one piece and have the coil tested.
