New gas tank still leaking

The drama continues folks. I purchased a new tank from YT along with new center shut off valve. After multiple attempts to find/seal leak still can't stop it. My eyes aren't what they use to be but from what I can tell it's either leaking from one of the screw holes or from around the center piece? Anybody else had this problem or have any ideas how to fix it?

If you have the right o-ring it shouldn't leak. If that's the case I'd look at the tank and valve base .

What is it for. if its a shut off valve for a ford that goes into the middle of the tank with a screw shut off then that's your problem. they are junk to say the least.

Well, not all of them, but some. On the other hand, in my experience, 100% of the lever-type as used on the 8x1 series Fords for replacement are expensive leakers. I converted my 871 to the 600-800 screw type with the 1/4" fuel line instead of 5/16" fuel line. Works fine.

2X what Fred said, except on mine I made my own rubber flex section from rubber fuel line and stepped up to 5/16. Four years ago.

he's not talking about leaking at the screw shutoff, but leaking from base to tank.

which it should not.
