Parts to order for Ford 3000 lift cover

Over the winter I am going to pull the lift cover off my 71 Ford 3000. The lift doesn't go all the way up with a load but will with nothing on the 3pt. I really have no idea what may be causing this but felt rebuilding the lift was a good place to start. This will be my first experience with rebuilding the lift but do have both the IT and Ford service manuals.

I know I will need a lift cover rebuild kit but not sure what they include and wondering what other parts I should go ahead and order just in case..
I don't mind spending a few bucks, even if I order a part I may not need. Just don't want to be stuck with the tractor apart and discover I have to wait on a $5.00 part.
Of course I understand we are shooting in the dark and the possibility of having every possible situation covered is pretty remote but would like to be as prepared as possible.

Any suggestions on what I might need in addition to the lift kit?

Lift kit
Cam follower pin
Ability to weld and grind the cam back to spec on the dohicky on the rockshaft. ( basic weld n grind skill)
Cyl or brake cyl hone for the cyl bore. Just hope that the bore is honeable and not trashed beyond use.

Strong arms, time, few gallons gooey stuff, solvents, rags, gasket scrapers.. Etc.. I&t manual. Internet access to this forum to ask that last minute question on that 5$ part ;)

Thanks for the tips, welding and grinding I have covered, am ordering the lift cover kit from this site but didn't see the cam follower pin.

Found a replacement for the Cam follower pin here..

Can get single quantity for 92c but if you only order one pin it will cost $6.00 for shipping. Still better than buying 20 of the durn things and if you spend $25.00 on other hardware you might need shipping is free.

My 3000 has a flow control on the right side of the transmission right about where your right calf would be.

Have you fiddled with that? Has somebody else fiddled with that?

If that knob has been turned, your three point hitch will be weak.

If you've already checked this, I'm sorry to point out the obvious.

If you haven't...and you can simply turn your flow control to get some lift...then yahoo.

Appreciate trying to help. I have the valve screwed all the way in which is my understanding of where it should be.

Wow! that was fast. Ordered the lift kit from this site Thursday morning and it was on my porch yesterday (Friday) afternoon. How did they do that :D
