Ford 7700 dual fuel tank question

I am thinking about eliminating the lower
tank. It would be gravity fed with the top
tank. Having issues with lift pump. Anyone
see a problem with this?

Still going to stagger under load.... Just put a lift pump on it rather than reinventing the wheel.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply keep the top tank full? It would accomplish the same purpose, without losing the cab steps.

Those pumps are cheap, only about $20.00, and quick and easy to put on. You could even get by with just cleaning. The little valves inside don't work well in mud.

The lift pump is in the lower tank correct? There are two openings in the lower tank. Which has the lift pump?

Lift pump is on the side of the injector pump..

much later models had an electric fuel pump..

The lift pump is on the side of the injection pump unless someone has re-rigged something already...
