The transmission is filling up with hydraulic oil. Hydraulic Pressure line must be leaking into it. Any suggestions on replacing it? Sounds like a bear to do it. This is on a Ford 641.

(quoted from post at 11:36:13 08/06/16) No, it was machined already. The last inch goes in pretty hard.

Good to hear the tube is stepped down. Last I heard it was not. There is hope. My 660 is going to need one in the future.

Did you just tap it into place?

Yes, I did. I took a 3/8" rod as long as the tube and welded a nut on the manifold end. It took some good hits to get it in, but everything seems to be working. I did split the tractor, so I could see what I was doing.

When I called and pressed for the measurements on the new tube they told me it was a blank I would have to machine it.

I have a 901 selecto-speed do you suppose I could split behind the transmission and work from manifold end . I'm not comfortable removing trans by myself (71 yrs old) , thanks for any info I can get
