At around 30HP it should handle it in all but the rel touch big windrow type of problems. If it has live PTO then you ever better off since when things get hard you can clutch it to let the baler catch up. I have baled hay with a Farmall 340 which is around 31HP and it did okay but it also has live PTO

Yes, particularly if it has a 6 or 8 speed transmission.

You are all good. My grandfather dragged an old Roanoke PTO baler all over Berkshire County MA hills with a 661.

I have a 1973 Ford 2000 3-cylinder gas tractor and a New Holland 273 baler. My 2000 is a 6 speed without live PTO. I've used it for about 15 years and have baled thousands of small square mixed grass bales with it. I have a 16 acre field that is relatively flat with a rolling hill at the end of the field.

You should be in great shape with your setup.

Yepper, even on my '63 4 cyl.....just gotta think ahead with the tranny driven PTO.
