Hello. I have taken on the assignment to fix up a Ford Jubilee for a recently widowed friend. Her husband had started working on it when
he passed. I am really not sure what all he had done, so it's going to be interesting. He was apparently working from front to back, and
throwing some paint on is as he went. I still have the Jubilee that I grew up on, so I am pretty familiar with the tractor. However, this
one has some sort of modification I have not seen before. Where the tach drive cable would normally connect to the rear of the hyrdraulic
pump, there is what looks to be some sort of transfer pump. There is what looks to be a suction line for this transfer pump coming from
the right hand side of the transmission case, and a supply line going into the left hand side of the transmission case right next to the
PTO lever. On that side there is also what appears to be a valve, which will rotate 90 degrees. At one end of that rotation the plate is
stamped "closed", and at the other end "Operate".
Have any of you ever seen this set up before, and if so, what can you tell me about it? I have a PDF showing photos, and also individual
photos if I can figure out how to post them here...
Thanks!!
