Have a CL40 Ford Loader. It has the Ford 104 v-4 1.7. It sat in a barn for 5 years without being run, when i got it from a dairyman who traded it to me for a bill owed to me for hay I sold to him when he ran into trouble and could not pay. I got it running and found out what it needed. I now need a governor rebuild, has a hoof governor on it now. Needs a carburetor rebuild kit or one that will fit. I have had the water pump rebuilt because it leaked. and I have re-cored the radiator. It has a several other issues I can fix. Any information would be helpful. The V4 engine is the same or very similar to the engine in a Saab car. It was and I believe is still sold as an industrial engine in EU. Parts are on Ebay. I believe JenSales has service and PM for loader.

There was a CL40 for sale near me Houston TX that had a V4 with missing parts. I did some searching to see if parts were available. Should be able to get anything you need, just need clean money in large quantities.

Google CL40 you should get useful info. All the replies I saw were positive on vehicle. Didn't buy as price was too high for a non running vehicle. I'd snatch one up if I find one at a decent price. There were several hits where writers used a Ford Bronco II engine as a replacement. Apparently the trans mount on both engines is the same. If I recall correctly the V4 and the Bronco II are called a "Cologne" engine for the Ford foundry in Germany.

Good Luck
