12.4x28 rims

I have 13.6x28 tires mounted on 12 inch rims. My question is, can I mount 12.4x28 tires on those same rims?

The 12 inch rims are designed for 13.6 inch tires, but you can generally go up or down one tire size from what the rim was designed for and still be good, so yes, the 12.4 inch tires should work fine. Besides being narrower they won't be quite as tall either.
