4cyl 2000 color

How about Ford Light Grey that looks white and the Ford blue is the natural blue, not the green tinted blue that hit the tin in '65. Pictures of the correct coloring are on the www; forget where but both the 2 and 4000 are there. One difference I recall is that the 2000 is blue including the hood and all that sheet metal....forget if the rear fenders are grey or not, think they are. wheels are grey. The 4000 has a grey hood and associated sheet metal with grey fenders and wheels, like the one that is currently in the Ford postings.

Yup! The prior 2000 should be all "old Ford blue" except for the fenders and wheels. Those should be Ford grey.

They're supposed to be fully blue. Mine isn't, though. The previous owner painted it like a 4000. Here it is:

Yepper he did. If you'd add the chrome cap on the top front of the hood and change your decal, you could pass for one if someone wasn't looking at the arse end.....I guess that light color is Ford light grey.

(quoted from post at 03:48:51 07/27/16) I've actually thought about that... but if I did I'd have to
change the engine to a 172!

Since part of this conversation is "pulling the wool over" somebody else, who'd know. A lot of folks don't know where to look for the identifying numbers on the left side casting boss. I don't have my manuals here and forget which has the 144 or 172 in figuring gas and diesel engines.

Me too and my 2000 is painted all original blue with Grey fenders and wheels. I was referring to "misrepresenters" (non politically correct verbiage would be known as liars, cheats, and thieves.
