601 injection pump shaft

Where could I find a drive shaft for a 601 Ford tractor Roosamaster pump?

Head locked up and naturally sheared the pump shaft.

Anybody got any tricks for freeing up a pump head that is stuck. Probably from water entering the pump.

Thanks, Zane

The old hydraulic head needs pressed apart first to see WHY it seized up, and broke the shaft. There's a service bulletin that shows the different seize areas with the likely cause listed with each one. Once a head locks up it's done for. Could be caused by water in fuel, dirt, drive misalignment, line bolt bottomed in the barrel from wrong or dropped banjo gaskets, etc..

I have already fixed the pump with a doner barrell.

I actually was factory trained on the Roosa Master pump and CAV pumps about 45 years ago. My memory is not all that good but I did manage to muddle through.

Just need a shaft.
