1801 steering problems

Just became the proud owner of a 1801 ford tractor, I am in need of education about the steering cable problems they had, with out taking it apart right now, what do the ends look like? where do I get them, are there any upgrades? Many Thanks, Mike Chaples

I upgraded mine by putting a combine steering valve and steering cylinder from a 2-ton truck and used the original pump.

Can't get parts anymore for cable steer tractors,
may have to convert to drag link steering. Call Tony
Jacobs in Mass 1-413-267-5087. He will tell you
everything you need to know about your cable steer
and how to fix it.
