Points hold down screws on a side monut 8N

So had a guy call me today wanting me to get his 8N running and wired up. Got the wiring done and went to put the points etc in the distributor. Found that the points where gone and the dust cover and rotor clip. No point screws so need to know what size they are. I am thinking there 8-32 and yes I know I will have to cut them so am I right and how long do they need to be??

Have the dust cover and rotor clip ordered already and would have ordered the hold down screws if Y-T had them listed

I have found that these plates come in handy if the threads are shot You can find them cheaper just found this link quick

Got a ford dealer near ya?

FORD AUTOMOBILE dealer parts counter. come with built-in lockwasher. p/n 355047-S7 (#8-32 X 0.19)
 
If I remember right the last time I tried to buy them at a Ford car place they said they do not have those any more or some such thing but the place is not but maybe 10 years old
 
Treads appear to be good the guy who told these people he could fix there tractor removed the old point and dust cover and rotor clip and well he took them with him and he does not answer his phone so they called me to fix what he said he could but didn't
