Last week after not being able to get either of the new fuel gauges to work I called DC and they said to send the gauges back and
they would test them. Today I got a call. They tested the gauges and both are bad. They also tested other gauges in their
inventory and they too were bad. They said they would have to find a new supplier for the gauges. It will be late next week before
they can ship me another gauge.

Been like that for a while.

Back decades ago when I was going to college I worked for a water meter factory. When i started there, we had a couple QC people at our factory ( sized about the size of a kmart store ) people, and they actually pull a meter out of each batch and checked it.

I don't remember when... but I dod remember one day noticing no QC people.. we got rid of them and just did more warranty return work.. :/

Sounds like low bidder got the contract... Its not hard to make new metal look good the hard part is making it function and give good service...

hings changed over the years. Sender has to match the gauge.
