I was wondering about the whereabouts of a Ford 960 that was sold in an auction in NJ. The auction was in Washington New Jersey in 1988 or 89, it was gasoline, narrow front with a Ford trip bucket loader, it was in pretty good original condition, If anyone in that area has this tractor please let me know, it was a family members and I was just curious if it was still in use or restored, thank you

I live in Great Meadows, NJ about 15 minutes from washington. I have a 960 I bought a few years ago. It came from eastern Pa. It was painted blue when I got it, NF but no loader. Do you have a serial # or year? Mine is a '55.

I wish you luck Gary. Years ago I was trying to track a specific 960 down. I knew where it went from the auction, but couldn't find out more. I saw one by the road and I stopped to check it out. It had been repainted blue, and I thought that it was too far away. A year or two later I got a tip that it had gone to that area in Northern NH. It could have been the same one.

I think it was a 55, no idea on the serial number, it was bought new from Smith Ford in Washington NJ with a 3 bottom plow and a 3 point disk, the owners last name was Bohne

Going to be a tough one without the serial number. Best bet might be to find out the auction house that had the auction. They might have the records of who it was sold to but they might not give out the info. Another long shot is to call smith ford, they are still in business, I was there a couple weeks ago, ask for Chick in the parts dept. 908-689-7900 Might be a record of the serial # when sold or might know who buying parts for a 960. Not a lot of Row crops in my area.
