I am considering buying a 7000, it has been setting several years and the injection pump is missing. Story is someone took it off to fix and now it is lost. I know there are a couple of different pumps for this model, I do not know which pump goes with this tractor. I am going to see if I can match one off the serial # of the machine. I have taken the pump off an Farmal 856 and a few older John Deere's, so I am assuming aligning the timing marks on the pump would be the same for a ford. I do not know if the person who took off the pump knew what they were doing. So I am looking for advice, what to do, what not to do. I will have to buy a pump with no core, so where will be the best place to get one?
If the pump was taken off with out aligning the marks, how hard would it be to time the tractor? Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks
