Dowden type foot throttle on a 871?

I've always wondered if it was possible to adapt one of the Dowden type foot throttles to a 871 SOS tractor. I know that they are still available for Jubilee/NAA tractors, but I can't help to be curious if it would be practical on a later tractor with selectospeed.

Has anyone tried this?

Not sure about adapting a dowden but here's one I made up for my 671. Works real good on the SOS with the power steering, leaves your hands
free for shifting, also have them on my 4000 and a couple other tractors. I use my 4000 for logging and what's nice is you can still use the
hand throttle if you need to work the brakes to keep from getting stuck.
I used to have a detailed drawing on them and maybe you can pull it up by doing a search on this site.
If you use your tractor for work once you install it you will wonder how you got along with out it.
If your handy they aren't hard to make.

I've got an Email inquiry to Red Rock - awaiting an answer. Looks do-able from what I'm seeing here. I just didn't know if the power steering stuff would interfere, but it looks like it doesn't.

Seems the ones available now don't work with the power steering models. you and I probably need to talk. I'm pretty handy. . . .

Send me an email with your email address and I'll try to get you some info. My computer crashed about a month ago and some stuff was lost. I
had send Phil (RED ROCK) the diagrams/measurements for the foot throttle and he was suppose to put it into production but I guess he hasn't
got around to it yet.
